Changes

So I am changing the focus of this blog. It used to be what I've done for the NICU and basically just a place for me to kind of keep track of what I've done. I will still post when I have a group of stuff that goes to the NICU. Focus now is I'd like to start making and selling custom patchwork blankets/quilts as well as decorative burp cloths/family cloth/cloth wipes. Embroidery MAY be possible depending upon what you'd like done. Photo quilts can be done (see posts from last year!) All proceeds will go into our adoption fund.

Yes despite our already 'hoppin' family, we will be adopting a little girl from Russia hopefully next year. We feel it's what God is leading us to do. Purchasing any of these items from me means HELPING US BRING HER HOME! I will post pics soon of burp rags, wipes etc...Please browse through the old postings/pics to see if there is anything I can custom make for you. Thank you!!!

O & Ry's Blankets

Don't think I ever published the twins' blankets that I finished a few months ago...here they are...Owen's is blue, Rylan's is the green...
First time I've really done minky and it worked awesome. Super soft and the babies love them...plus all the 'exciting' patterns on the front. I intended them to be small...ideal for putting the babies on the ground with them or covering legs in the car but not being too big and bulky...plus if the twins want to snuggle them to sleep at night it's small enough to fit in their beds as toddlers...

Kim's blanket

I finished this a couple months ago already but just realized I never posted. Have done a few hats for my new boys but I've just been all around busy and not getting much knitting accomplished! In fact I JUST turned in a whole bundle of hats to the NICU after holding onto them for 6 months........

Anyhow, here is the blanket...

Finally something to show...and NEWS...

So I finally got all my hats out to post...this is most of them...guess I had a lot of girly yarn to use up! More boys hats are being made each one of my lunch breaks!! :-)

I also have another baby blanket in the works for Kim G's nephew. About 35% complete I'd say...waiting on embroidery before I can go any further. Have not done as much as I would've liked this summer as we found out in June we're expecting baby #3......and baby #4.....2 more little men!! Exhaustion stinks but I'm not expecting it to ease up anytime soon. That being said, the nausea and exhaustion have made it darn near impossible to do much of anything. HOPEFULLY after Kim's blanket is done I can get going on 1 of 3 blankets I'd like to finish before Christmas...lofty goal I know but I'd really like to make these babies their own blankets plus one for my niece in Cali.

In case anyone is curious, all of these hats where just K3, P1. I like doing that as it gives it enough give to fit several sizes! Super easy to keep track of where you are and such when you pick it up and put it down as much as I have to!
